“People think that intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realize that you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is, ‘You’re safe with me…’—that’s intimacy.”

Our Philosophies

  • Antiracism.

We believe that all therapeutic practices should be rooted in antiracism and social justice. In therapy, this looks like amplifying marginalized voices, understanding the importance of supporting all aspects of an individual’s intersecting identities, and resisting white supremacy.

  • Radical Social Work.

We believe that social and economic structures should be held responsible for social ills, rather than individuals who are experiencing oppression. We work to prioritize social welfare for everyone while leaning into a wholistic approach—emphasizing treatment, advocacy, and education.

  • Sex Positivity.

We believe that sex positivity reduces stigma, uplifts healthy sexual behaviors, and reduces harm. We believe that comprehensive sexual education is a human right and is beneficial to individual and community growth.

  • Abolition.

We believe that policing, incarceration, and involuntary placements are not a requirement for engaging in healthy societal accountability. We believe that incarceration is punitive, rather than rehabilitative, and causes more harm than benefit to societal health and pro-social living.
